Love is in the Air

With all the snow days we had after coming back from break I did not get a chance to write a blog in January but I am ready for February.  I cannot believe we are this far into the school year already and now the wonderful world of testing begins.  Am I worried?  No, not really.  However, I am a little sad when I think about all the fun I will miss out on while giving the tests, but we will just roll with it like we usually do.

We have a special spirit day on Friday- we get to dress up as what we want to be when we grow up, I overhear some kids whispering they want to be a teacher.  My first instinct is "oh no you don't" but my second instinct, the one you are supposed to follow says "wow!"  Those little ones were once Desiree, Kathy, Tod, Jessica, Jamie, and I!  We are still able to change the future.  We are still able to instill the desire to be something in our children regardless of any test or rules of the new "game", as they like to call it.  When I was a little girl, I wanted to be famous.  I didn't care what that meant.  It could be an actress, singer, whatever!  Now I know my claim to fame.  I am Ms. Wesney, intervention specialist at Conesville Elementary.  When I walk down the streets of Coshocton, I hear "look mommy, it's my teacher!" and those words will forever be embedded in my heart.  This is what it is all about.  I may not have my star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but my picture is in the yearbook every year with my biggest fans. Even still, after all of the stress and frustration with "testing", I am very proud to be a TEACHER... no comments #helper!

Happy Valentines Day!
